Description For Controls System Development Engineer, Center for Infrastructure Software and Controls

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This role is part of the team that keeps the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and their servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The Controls System Development Engineer will be responsible for PLC programming, technical writing, electrical schematic interpretation, and system development for data center controls systems.

The position requires expertise in IEC61131-3 programming languages and experience with automation systems. You'll work on developing and implementing control systems for mechanical infrastructure automation projects that will be deployed globally. The role involves collaboration with multiple teams including construction, commissioning, and MEP engineers.

Key responsibilities include developing automation sequences, maintaining logic function libraries, and interfacing with AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in systems engineering, programming, and automation, combined with project management abilities.
