Responsibilities For Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, Field Engineering

  • Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action documentation
  • Support operational issues with training and complex operating procedure reviews
  • Own conceptual design for data center upgrades and design-solutions
  • Interface with internal teams to promote standards for consistency and reliability
  • Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers
  • Lead engineering audits including on-site visits
  • Act as resident engineer during new construction projects

Requirements For Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, Field Engineering

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience with industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering
  • Business-level fluency in written and spoken English and Japanese
  • Experience using web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing
