Data Center Engineering Operations, DC Communities

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to innovation. This position within Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) requires broad Data Center knowledge with Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in various fields. The role is based in Mumbai and serves as the primary operational resource for ADSIPL's owned and operated Data Centers in India.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overall operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure supporting IT operations
• Incident management, problem management, change management, and cost/contract management
• Relationship management with critical facility vendors and various teams
• Ownership of Data Center changes, events, incidents, and problems
• Asset and Inventory management
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation and procedures
• Managing engineering aspects related to financial control, compliance, personnel management, and training
• Overseeing technical compliance auditing and energy/environmental management programs
• Incident and emergency response coordination

The position requires 24x7 on-call availability, scheduled weekend work support, and rotational shifts. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, and 1+ years of data center engineering experience is preferred.
