Data Center Facility Engineer (M&E) - Hertfordshire, DCC Communities

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. This role involves overseeing the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical infrastructure for AWS Data Centers. Key responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, troubleshooting events, taking operational readings, and supervising contractors. The ideal candidate should have experience with UPS's, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, ATS's, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, and other related equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems in a diverse team environment, contributing to the maintenance of one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain highest safety standards and foster a world-class safety culture
• Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot events within internal SLAs
• Take daily operational readings of equipment
• Supervise contractors for servicing and preventive maintenance

Requirements:

• Electrical or mechanical journeyman license
• Experience leading operations of critical facilities
• Knowledge of maintenance management software
• Experience with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data center engineering
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or similar technical focus
