Data Center Operation Technician (IT Engineer)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast paced technology company and a leader in the world of data centers. We are looking for technical engineers who are interested in joining an elite team and eager to learn the skills necessary to maintain one of the world's largest IT infrastructures in AWS Data Centers. The successful candidate shall follow standard processes/procedures and maintain high operational standards in supporting advanced hardware, servers, storage and networking devices. They need to adapt to fast and constantly changing environment and will require shift work including weekend and holiday for 7x24 basis.

Key job responsibilities: • 7x24 roster duty in data center operations • Incident first responder and onsite hands on support • Break-fix and troubleshooting according to process guideline • Maintain proper media operations according to process guideline • Capacity landing and decommissioning according to process guideline • Site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas • Innovate and contribute from day-to-day operation experiences to improve operation efficiency

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Taipei, TPE, TWN | Taipei, TWN

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
• 1 year experience in server / network hardware and operation systems maintenance / troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of network cabling (fiber optic) and operation support experience.
• Sound understanding on incidents response and prioritization.
• Basic level of English in read/write and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry experience in Data Center Operations.
• Knowledge on data center networking
• Knowledge on cloud computing
• Knowledge on continuous process improvement.
• Understanding of data center safety and security environment.
