Description For Data Engineer

Amazon's Device, Digital & Alexa Support (D2AS) organization is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team of innovators. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on customer support technologies for Amazon products, creating impact at a global scale. Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Work closely with data scientists and business intelligence engineers to create robust data architectures and pipelines
  • Simplify and enhance accessibility of large datasets through BI dashboards and applications
  • Take ownership of metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards design and creation
  • Navigate ambiguous environments using data-driven insights and business expertise
  • Develop and manage scalable, automated data solutions using cutting-edge technologies

Requirements For Data Engineer

Python
  • 1+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with query languages (SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, KornShell)
  • Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, IAM)
  • Experience with data visualization software (AWS QuickSight or Tableau)
  • Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
