Data Engineer III, Buyer Fraud

Amazon's Payments Risk team is seeking a Data Engineer III to join their mission of making Amazon.com the safest place to shop online. This role focuses on detecting and preventing fraudulent purchases across hundreds of millions of e-commerce transactions in six countries.

As a Data Engineer on the Analytics team, you'll have significant impact on customer engagement through building data infrastructure using software engineering best practices and modern distributed systems. You'll work with a diverse team of scientists, business intelligence engineers, software developers, and product managers to deliver stable and performant data feeds for business insights and machine learning applications.

The role requires expertise in big data technologies, AWS services, and data engineering principles. You'll be responsible for architecting large data systems, building ETL pipelines, and implementing next-generation BI solutions. Key technologies include Hadoop, Spark, AWS services (EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda), and programming languages like Python and Scala.
