Data Engineer, SCOT - AIM - Capacity

As a Level 5 Data Engineer at Amazon's Global Supply Chain Optimization team (SCOT), you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure and pipelines that power Amazon's worldwide distribution network. This team is responsible for building systems that forecast and optimize the distribution of tens of millions of products weekly to Amazon's warehouses in the most cost-effective way.

You will work on systems that peer into the future and estimate product distribution, driving automated downstream systems for critical buying, labor planning, and inventory routing decisions worldwide. The forecasting platforms being created are in high demand across various business planning use cases, including unintegrated Amazon subsidiaries.

In this role, you'll lead the design and implementation of complex data pipelines, architect scalable data systems using cloud technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient data solutions. You'll be responsible for optimizing data storage and retrieval systems, implementing quality checks, and mentoring junior engineers.
