This role is part of the AWS Managed Operations team, focusing on building and leading operations for high-availability AWS services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock specifically for EU customers. The position involves working with the global AWS teams to launch ESC in 2025, influencing AWS service evolution, and ensuring optimal service performance.
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving critical infrastructure, participating in on-call rotations, and collaborating with technology leaders to enhance service reliability. The role requires strong systems engineering experience and expertise in automation, with a focus on delivering scalable solutions for EU customers.

You'll be part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), which provides foundational services and continuous product innovations that distinguish AWS in the industry.
Your daily responsibilities will include reviewing operational health, identifying anomalies, creating bug reports, providing feedback on change management, and developing automation scripts. You'll also serve as an educator, sharing knowledge about the European Sovereign Cloud with service teams.
