Description For Eng. Project Manager, Robotic Deployment Engineering (RDE)

We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Engineering Project Manager to lead the capacity, capital planning, and project execution for the continued expansion of our JP fulfillment network. The role is based in the Meguro, Tokyo office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading capacity, capital planning, and project execution for JP fulfillment network expansion
  • Managing build specifications, pre-contract work, internal teams, and vendor relations
  • Defining and driving strategy while being detail-oriented and agile
  • Conducting multiple weekly meetings with internal teams and vendors
  • Owning and developing technology innovations and solutions
  • Interfacing with various functional teams at all levels of the organization
  • Providing feedback to design and solutions teams
  • Identifying lessons learned and proposing continuous improvement
  • Maintaining and updating knowledge repository

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Engineering Program and Project Management experience
  • Understanding of Amazon Fulfillment Center design, implementation, modeling, and estimating
  • Ability to manage critical path and help other teams deliver network capacity on time
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the year
  • Business-level Japanese and English proficiency
