Description For Hardware Design Engineer, FireTV

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join our FTV Hardware team. The role involves designing, developing, and testing hardware components and systems for FireTV products. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Schematic and PCB design based on reference platforms
  2. Leading cross-functional engineering teams through the development process
  3. Overseeing hardware integration including audio, RF, power, and display
  4. Collaborating with OEM/ODM partners, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  5. Performing reviews on schematics, layouts, and validation results
  6. Debugging issues and conducting root cause analysis
  7. Working with software teams to resolve design tradeoffs
  8. Collaborating with operations on manufacturing test development
  9. Maintaining strong communication among cross-functional teams
  10. Mentoring junior engineers and participating in hiring

The FTV Hardware team is dynamic and collaborative, focused on driving innovation in the TV space. You'll work with various partners and OEMs on cutting-edge programs in a fast-paced environment. The team also maintains an "Ideas Initiative" for exploring forward-looking product concepts.

Responsibilities For Hardware Design Engineer, FireTV

  • Design, develop, and test hardware components and systems

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • Expertise in schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Knowledge of hardware simulation and validation techniques
