Responsibilities For Incident Response Engineer, DSS Security Incident Response

  • Investigate and respond to security incidents in the Devices and Services org
  • Act as an incident responder or commander during active security events
  • Conduct thorough post-mortem analysis of security incidents
  • Security consulting with builder teams
  • Develop and maintain detections using Splunk/SOAR
  • Combat fraud and abuse through prevention/detection/response capabilities
  • Contribute to automation efforts using AI/ML tools
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Coordinate response efforts with other Incident Response teams

Requirements For Incident Response Engineer, DSS Security Incident Response

Python
  • 5+ years of industry experience in cybersecurity
  • Working knowledge of AWS, WAF, EDR/XDR tools, network telemetry, and log analysis
  • Practical knowledge of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
