Industrial Engineer II, Robotics Manufacturing

The Robotics Manufacturing & Technical Operations (RMTO) organization is Amazon Robotics' manufacturing arm for industrial robotics. We manufacture high-quality robotics for fulfillment and transportation centers across Amazon. We are seeking a talented Industrial Engineer with thorough knowledge of workflow/process path design, space utilization/efficiency, ergonomics, and system design to support the manufacturing operation in our Westborough, MA facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting studies for cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production systems
• Leading the design, implementation, and delivery of large system designs
• Identifying and tackling intrinsically hard problems
• Delivering artifacts that set the standard for engineering excellence
• Leading and participating in design reviews
• Actively recruiting for Amazon and participating in the hiring process

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience (or Master's degree with 3+ years)
• Experience in industrial engineering, focusing on automation and robotics in lean manufacturing
• Ability to perform Process Capability Analysis, Time Studies, Line balancing
• Experience in layout design for manufacturing and warehousing
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Expert knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
