Description For IT Support Engineer

As an IT Technician, you will:

  • Report to the IT Manager at your home site
  • Be responsible for implementing and maintaining infrastructure elements
  • Represent the 'face of IT' to the Business
  • Provide world-class service to our customers

  • Look for improvements

Key responsibilities include:

  • Health & Safety ownership and accountability
  • Installation, maintenance, and support of IT equipment
  • Asset and Inventory management
  • Liaising with 3rd party vendors and suppliers
  • Maximizing the availability of IT equipment and infrastructure
  • Providing technical support for site and team projects
  • Conducting end-user equipment trials and testing
  • Providing assistance to senior engineers
  • Working in shifts (including weekends) and supporting occasional changes in working hours

Basic Qualifications:

  • UAE National Family book is a must
  • 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac, or Linux Operating systems support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems
  • Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware, AWS)
  • Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
