The AWS Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join their Device Lifecycle software development team. This role focuses on developing optical defect detection ML models and building ML-driven solutions to enhance quality assurance processes and accelerate device manufacturing pipelines.

Responsibilities For Machine Learning Engineer - Automated Optical Inspection, Center for Quantum Computing

  • Develop and maintain platforms for developing, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models
  • Acquire knowledge of emerging technologies in Generative AI
  • Work directly with scientists and engineers to understand their data
  • Implementation of design proposals in a logical and maintainable manner
  • Develop optical defect detection & classification ML vision model
  • Establish an active learning pipeline that improves model performance

Requirements For Machine Learning Engineer - Automated Optical Inspection, Center for Quantum Computing

Python
  • Experience working in production ML environments, including deploying computer vision models
  • Experience developing automation to solve problems at scale
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience in system design
  • MSc or PhD in a STEM discipline (preferred)
  • Experience working with scientists in a research environment (preferred)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (preferred)
