Description For Manufacturing Test Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious low Earth orbit satellite broadband network initiative, aimed at delivering fast, reliable internet to customers and communities worldwide. As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in testing, qualifying, and troubleshooting integrated satellites for the Kuiper broadband internet network. The position combines hands-on technical work with cross-functional collaboration, requiring expertise in both systems-level and specialized testing.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technology to solve complex manufacturing and engineering challenges. You'll serve as a vital link between engineering, operations, tooling, supply chain, and quality teams, while also leading production on the assembly line and new production introduction. Your responsibilities will include providing manufacturability input to design engineering teams and establishing new processes, equipment, and assembly lines to support Kuiper's rapid build ramp.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in test engineering, particularly with embedded systems or flight hardware. You'll need to be comfortable with both hardware and software aspects of testing, including programming in languages like Python. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities to work effectively across teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about space technology and interested in contributing to a project that aims to bridge the global digital divide. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $105,600 to $185,000 per year, depending on location and experience, plus additional benefits.
