Amazon Lab126 is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II to join their Multimedia team working on Amazon Devices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge consumer electronics like Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and Amazon Echo.

As a Multimedia SDE II, you'll be at the forefront of developing media technologies for Amazon's next-generation devices. You'll work with both open source and proprietary technologies to build cutting-edge devices for media consumption, whether mobile or in the home. The role involves end-to-end ownership of media technologies and quality, collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver best-in-class devices.

The position involves working within the FireOS/Android and Linux/GStreamer based Multimedia/Streaming Framework Development team. You'll be implementing new features and enhancements within the Application/Middleware framework of different Media Player Engines, including Android, ExoPlayer, and Amazon's in-house Media Player. These developments will support various product teams including Kindle Fire Tablets, Amazon FireTV, Amazon Echo, Amazon Music/Video, Alexa, and Smart Home devices.
