This role is crucial in maintaining and developing the backbone that connects the global AWS network, focusing on controlling internet traffic that enables worldwide user access to information and applications.
The position combines network and Unix systems engineering to deliver sustainable solutions that drive the stability of next-generation IP networks. As a Network Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for high-quality network operations, deployments, scaling, and technology refresh, while working closely with automation teams to define tools that enable higher volume scaling.
Key responsibilities include implementing network changes, leading network projects, providing critical network support, and troubleshooting complex networking issues. You'll work with routing protocols, interconnectivity, and configurations while partnering with broader Infrastructure teams on standards and tools.
