Description For Network Development Engineer, DCNE, MONA

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Core Networking team is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) team. This role is crucial in building, deploying, and scaling Amazon's networks that support AWS services across multiple global datacenters.

The position involves working with cutting-edge network technologies while optimizing existing infrastructure. You'll be responsible for maintaining the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks. Key responsibilities include implementing network changes, collaborating with automation teams, leading network projects, and providing critical support for large-scale networking events.

As part of AWS NFE, you'll own datacenter network services that provide unconstrained connectivity to major AWS services like EC2, EBS, S3, and Amazon CDO Services. The role encompasses end-to-end ownership of networks internal to the datacenters, including scaling and operational functions for both traditional datacenters and newer AWS offerings such as Outposts and Local Zones.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IP routing protocols, network automation, and large-scale datacenter environments. You'll need expertise in TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS), and familiarity with major network platform vendors. The role requires both technical depth in networking technologies and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver sustainable solutions.

AWS values diverse experiences and work-life harmony, offering an inclusive team culture where bold ideas are welcomed. You'll have access to mentorship opportunities and career growth resources as part of AWS's commitment to becoming Earth's Best Employer. Join us in keeping the cloud running and help build the future of global infrastructure.
