Network Development Engineer, GCNA

The AWS Global Connectivity and Network Availability (GCNA) Organization is seeking a Network Development Engineer for their EDGE team. This role involves collaborating with the Infrastructure organization on configuration standards and tools, while working alongside Systems and Software Engineers to ensure smooth implementation of new designs and products.

AWS GCNA forms the critical backbone connecting the global AWS network, managing internet traffic to enable worldwide user access to information and applications. The team is responsible for designing and building a sophisticated backbone network that optimizes internet traffic flow between data centers and customers.

The ideal candidate should have experience in:

• Working with major internet routing protocols
• Linux/Unix environments
• Automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl
• Understanding TCP/IP networking, IP routing, and network security architecture
