Network Development Engineer, InterDC services

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Inter-DC & Optical team. This role is crucial in building, deploying, and scaling Amazon networks that support AWS across multiple global datacenters. The position focuses on network infrastructure deployment, automation, and optimization, working with cutting-edge technologies in a large-scale enterprise environment.

The InterDC Optical Services team manages the development, delivery, and lifecycle support of optical products connecting AWS Data Centers and PoPs globally. The network currently handles >10Pbps of inter-data center traffic over >30k devices worldwide. The role involves both hands-on technical work and strategic planning, requiring collaboration with various teams and customers.

As a Network Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for critical network infrastructure that supports Amazon Retail Service, Kindle, Payments, and multiple AWS services. You'll work on existing and greenfield locations, focusing on scaling network designs, creating efficient deployment processes, and implementing automation solutions.
