Packaging Engineer, EU Sustainable Packaging

At Amazon, we're constantly looking for ways to improve our customers' packaging experience and how we get our products to our customers. The EU Packaging Team is seeking a dynamic, driven, organized, analytical, and creative Packaging Engineer to join their team.

This role requires an innovative thinker and leader to drive package and packaging process improvements for Amazon internal teams and external partners. Success in this role demands passionate development of new packaging concepts based on existing and learned expertise in packaging materials, operational processes, and supply chains.

Key responsibilities include:

• Being the expert on packaging qualification practices and standards
• Creating new packaging standards to improve customer packaging experience, including sustainability
• Driving awareness and adoption of EU Packaging Standards within and outside Amazon
• Developing standard test methods, including statistical analysis
• Managing materials and suppliers qualification processes
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies in the packaging evaluation process

The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with US and global stakeholders. They should be able to work independently and deal with ambiguous environments.
