Principal SDE, Kinesis Data Streams

Leading brands like Disney, Coinbase, Atlassian, Epic Games, and AirBnB use Amazon Kinesis Data Streams (KDS) to build real-time data streaming applications. KDS is used in applications ranging from online gaming analytics, IoT sensor monitoring, user clickstream analysis, real-time recommendations, cyber threat detection, network monitoring, fraud detection, and loading real-time metrics into data lakes.

We are seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud computing and delivering high-quality services in a fast-paced environment. You'll work with outstanding engineers and leaders, refine product requirements, define architecture, and lead software implementation and launch.

• Solving difficult problems using appropriate technologies and best practices
• Inventing, designing, and building stable and performant software
• Creating pragmatic solutions with the right level of complexity
• Writing understandable and maintainable code
• Making appropriate trade-offs and being judicious about introducing dependencies
• Working efficiently with system resources
• Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and peers on project ideas

As part of the AWS Utility Computing (UC) organization, you'll support the development and management of various AWS services, including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps.
