NASC Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineer to support Process Design Engineering initiatives, developing and delivering next-generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems. This position will have an impact on both design and process design engineering for the NASC.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions.
- 50% travel requirement to visit sites and support projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level (preferred)
- Experience working with and managing third-party vendors (preferred)
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing (preferred)
