Description For Process Design Engineer, NASC Engineering

NASC Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineer to support Process Design Engineering initiatives, developing and delivering next-generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems. This position will have an impact on both design and process design engineering for the NASC.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions.
  • 50% travel requirement to visit sites and support projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level (preferred)
  • Experience working with and managing third-party vendors (preferred)
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing (preferred)

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including a base pay range from $68,900/year to $126,400/year, depending on the geographic market.
