Regional Environmental Engineer, AWS Environmental

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Regional Environmental Engineer in the Southern Gulf, USA region, you will lead the environmental regulatory compliance function of your assigned area. You will be responsible for advancing environmental compliance culture and improving the regulatory adherence of our data centers, by protecting the environment through environmental incident prevention, investigation, and mitigation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Regular interactions with customers delivering environmental compliance leadership and guidance
• Implementing environmental standards, policies, and practices
• Conducting environmental compliance audits
• Performing environmental incident investigations and developing corrective actions
• Maintaining compliance record keeping and data integrity
• Performing data trend analysis
• Consulting with compliance and legal teams
• Representing Amazon with governmental agencies
• Preparing and submitting reports to governmental agencies
• Coordinating with Enviro InfraDevelopment on environmental compliance in planning and execution
• Identifying improvement opportunities and analyzing data for trends and risks/opportunities
