Robotics Systems Engineer II, Amazon Robotics Deployment Engineering

Amazon is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer II to join their Robotics Deployment Engineering team. This crucial role involves overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, integration, and commissioning of Amazon Robotics equipment in both new and existing fulfillment centers (FCs). The position demands strong technical expertise in deploying robotic equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, network configuration, and software system coordination.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with complex electro-mechanical and network systems, demonstrating leadership in installation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Working with a team of 1-5 engineers, you'll collaborate with on-site project managers to provide technical oversight for both third-party and Amazon-designed robotics equipment installations.

This field engineering position requires extensive collaboration with various stakeholders, including third-party installers, contracted engineers, construction teams, hardware and software teams, IT departments, and other partner teams. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with both internal and external partners and customers.

As an Amazonian, you'll need to demonstrate independent initiative to identify and solve problems in real-time during deployments while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves working with robotic systems in various phases of the product lifecycle, including leading the development of process documentation and modifying existing processes when supporting new products.
