Do you enjoy finding unique security flaws in artificial intelligence and LLMs? As a Senior Security Engineer on the AGI security team, you'll be responsible for delivering continuous security assessments for Amazon's GenAI services.

The role involves manually evaluating security of all GenAI models, uncovering subtle vulnerabilities that automated tools miss, and developing custom tooling to scale security efforts. You'll perform expert cybersecurity red-teaming on complex proprietary foundation models, conduct threat modeling, and penetration testing of AGI services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Generating novel prompts and jailbreaks to test model guardrails
• Writing proof of concept code to demonstrate security issues
• Partnering with ML builders/scientists to improve model security
• Providing actionable risk mitigation guidance to stakeholders
• Conducting independent vulnerability research on GenAI technologies

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong communication skills and ability to lead by influence. You'll work with world-class technical leaders, security experts, developers, and scientists across Amazon.

The team values work-life balance and offers flexibility in working hours. Base pay ranges from $136,000 to $212,800 per year depending on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

Required qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 2+ years of AI security/adversarial ML experience
• 5+ years of security testing experience
• 3+ years of source code auditing experience
• Strong Python scripting skills
• Knowledge of ML techniques and AI security frameworks
