Amazon's Corporate Services Security (CPSS) team is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team focused on protecting and safeguarding Amazon's corporate services, systems, and data. This role sits within the security team aligned to Finance & Global Business Services, People eXperience & Technology, Legal, and Communications and Corporate Responsibility organizations.
As a Security Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of securing numerous applications built using AWS Services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with application development teams, conducting code reviews, building security frameworks, and designing secure services. The role requires both technical expertise in security and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring deep security expertise, particularly in application security, along with strong communication skills and the ability to influence through data-driven decisions. Amazon offers competitive compensation including base pay ranging from $136,000 to $212,800 depending on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities For Security Engineer, Corporate Services Security
- Creating, updating, and maintaining threat models for software projects
- Manual and Automated Secure Code Review in Java, Python and Javascript
- Development of security automation tools
- Adversarial security analysis
- Provide Security training and outreach for internal development teams
- Provide Security architecture and design guidance
- Solve complex security problems independently
- Influence team's process and priorities using data
- Provide technical guidance to senior leaders
Requirements For Security Engineer, Corporate Services Security
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, software development, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud security, mobile security, or network security
- Deep knowledge of security engineering, system and network security, authentication protocols, cryptography, or application security
- Experience reading and writing in at least one programming language
