Security Engineer II, Payments Security

Come build the future with Amazon's Payments Security team! As a Security Engineer II, you'll protect foundational systems and products that enable Amazon's global payment processing capabilities. This role focuses on securing the ecosystem that handles millions of daily transactions across multiple countries and payment methods.

You'll be part of Amazon's Stores Security organization, responsible for protecting Amazon's global information assets. The role involves full-stack security work across data, application, network, containers, and infrastructure. You'll partner with global Payments business units to implement secure-by-design solutions from concept to launch.

Key responsibilities include performing security reviews, threat modeling, secure code reviews, and identifying security gaps in applications. You'll determine finding criticality, provide actionable risk mitigation recommendations, and drive security automation initiatives. The role requires excellent communication skills to articulate security states to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This position offers the opportunity to solve complex security challenges at a planetary scale while working with talented engineering teams. You'll help define both short-term and long-term security strategies, balancing immediate needs with architectural solutions. The role includes competitive compensation ranging from $136,000 to $212,800 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
