Security Engineer, Research and Automation

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Security Operations team to help build and scale security while responding to security issues across the largest global cloud provider.

The role focuses on driving operational excellence through process creation, automation, and improvement of incident response tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and improving automation for day-to-day Incident Response tasks
• Supporting internal customers and addressing their security needs
• Participating in on-call rotation for Security Operations support
• Conducting research to enhance security posture and operational efficiency
• Developing and improving incident response procedures
• Driving improvements in existing tools and processes through scripting
• Managing and analyzing metrics for project plans, issues, and cycle times
