Amazon Security is seeking an experienced and innovative Support Engineer to join their Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations (VMRO) team in London. Responsibilities For Security Support Engineer, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations
- Support vulnerability detection campaigns and work with Campaign Owners
- Assess and negotiate with customers to drive down security risk
- Collaborate with builder teams to implement security fixes
- Review and analyze common vulnerability disclosures
- Help triage vulnerabilities and contribute to impact assessments
- Contribute to automation of repetitive tasks
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Update documentation and share knowledge
Requirements For Security Support Engineer, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or related technical degree or 2+ years equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of security concepts and security mindset
- Understanding of computer and network weaknesses and mitigating controls
- Experience with secure-cloud configuration (CloudTrail, AWS Config)
- Experience with cloud-security technologies (VPC, Security Groups, WAF)
- Experience with identity and access concepts
- Strong ability to understand risk and prioritization
- Effective communication skills in technical and business settings
