As a Senior Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance across multiple last mile sites in Connecticut. This role requires up to 80% travel to oversee automation engineering at 5-10 facilities.
You'll work with state-of-the-art technology including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, and SCADA systems. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting complex control systems, analyzing performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You'll mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment (MHE) systems.
The position requires expertise in PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus), motor control systems, servo drives, and electrical distribution systems. You'll collaborate with various teams including Operations, FC Start-up Team, AFT Software teams, and ACES team to support system optimization and project implementation.
