Senior Data Engineer, 3PX Private Pricing - Analytics & Insights, 3PX, Analytics & Insights

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for their Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) organization's Private Pricing Analytics and Insights (PPA&I) team. This role focuses on Data Engineering and Analytics related to the Private Pricing Program, requiring deep technical skills, strong business acumen, and a deep analytical background.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable solutions for metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards
• Extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources using AWS services and internal tools
• Building high-quality data sets to support data scientists and customer reporting needs
• Improving reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support
• Translating business problems into analysis requirements
• Developing queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and ongoing reporting
• Troubleshooting operational quality issues and recommending improvements

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big, and be creative while paying attention to detail. They should have strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize effectively, and own projects end-to-end.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS)
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Technical Field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating large data warehouses
• Experience developing, deploying, and managing production data pipelines in AWS
• Experience deploying and managing machine learning models in production

The base pay for this position ranges from $139,100/year to $240,500/year, depending on the geographic market. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package and values diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
