Amazon Japan is seeking a Senior Engineer for their JCFS (Japan Customer Fulfillment Services) division to lead the design and implementation of material handling equipment in fulfillment centers. This role is crucial in Amazon's mission to be Earth's most customer-centric company.
As a Senior Engineer in the Retrofit Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing facility modification projects in existing fulfillment and sort centers. The role encompasses five key management areas: safety, quality, process, equipment, and budget management. You'll work closely with global engineering teams to implement cutting-edge technologies and improve fulfillment capabilities in Japan.
Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing high-efficiency material handling equipment to meet medium and long-term inbound/outbound capacity plans. You'll collaborate with global engineering teams to introduce advanced processes and enhance next-generation capabilities. The role requires working with domestic and international partners to optimize costs, expand procurement capabilities, and improve adaptability to changes.
