Description For Senior Lean Process Engineer, Operations Excellence- Pharmacy

Amazon Pharmacy is seeking an industry-proven and detail-oriented Pharmacy Process Engineer to support the Pharmacy Operations Excellence team. As a process engineer, you will act as an operational leader to drive process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement for the pharmacy fulfillment center network. Your role is essential to establish best-in-class network performance across all process paths, accelerate implementation of technology advancements, and strengthen the technical acumen and process knowledge for the operational leaders across the FC network.

Key responsibilities include: • Evaluating performance objectives and metrics across the network to proactively identify process improvement opportunities • Partnering with operational leaders within pharmacy fulfillment centers to execute implementation of process improvements • Providing feedback to Pharmacy Design Engineers based on implemented process improvements • Delivering coaching and process path information across the network of operational leaders • Identifying, exploring, evaluating, justifying, and realizing solutions that add value

A typical day involves: 50% Support with Design Engineering, partnering to develop optimal layouts for fulfillment sites 50% Field engineering support, leveraging lean methodologies and statistical tools to measure operational barriers and coach teams in problem-solving using Six Sigma techniques

The role requires travel up to 50% to facilities throughout North America. Candidates can be hired in Phoenix, AZ, Seattle, WA, or Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities For Senior Lean Process Engineer, Operations Excellence- Pharmacy

Requirements For Senior Lean Process Engineer, Operations Excellence- Pharmacy

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
  • 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
  • Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
  • Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to facilities throughout North America
