Senior SDE, EC2 Cross Region Peering

Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join their EC2 Networking team, focusing on Cross Region Peering. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, working on critical infrastructure that processes millions of packets per second. The position involves building forwarding and encapsulation services for EC2, contributing to AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) features.

The role requires expertise in kernel/embedded C programming, with a focus on implementing ultra-high performance systems. You'll be working with highly optimized data structures and performing low-level hardware tuning. The impact of your work will be significant, affecting both internal AWS services like Lambda and external Amazon EC2 customers.

As a senior engineer, you'll mentor junior team members, lead architecture decisions, and ensure best development practices.
