Senior Software Development Engineer, Fleet Automation and Release Orchestration (FAROS)

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Fleet Automation and Release Orchestration Services (FAROS) team. This role is crucial in developing intelligent automation systems that power AWS's network infrastructure deployment and reliability. The team is responsible for creating systems that seamlessly deploy operating systems, configurations, firmware, and features across AWS's global datacenter network.

As a Senior SDE, you'll work on building products that enhance AWS's large-scale network performance, focusing on automation, reliability, and scalability. You'll be involved in the complete software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to implementation and deployment. The role requires strong technical leadership skills, as you'll be mentoring other engineers and working across organizational boundaries.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year, depending on location, plus additional benefits including medical insurance, 401k, and parental leave. You'll be working in Seattle, WA, as part of AWS's core infrastructure team, helping to maintain and improve the systems that keep the cloud running.
