Description For Senior Support Engineer, Smart Device, Platform QA

Amazon Device QA Lab Management Service (LMS) is seeking a Senior Support Engineer to lead their device lab infrastructure operations across multiple locations in China. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering work, focusing on lab infrastructure management, device testing, and quality assurance. The position involves designing technical roadmaps, participating in company-wide user groups, and ensuring high availability of lab services.

The role sits within the Platform QA team, which leads Platform software quality service across products, including HALs, Kernel, Security, and Drivers. You'll be responsible for managing lab environments, implementing automation solutions, and maintaining testing infrastructure that serves Amazon's global development teams.

As a senior team member, you'll have the opportunity to shape technical standards, mentor other engineers, and drive operational excellence initiatives. The position requires deep technical knowledge in Linux systems, device protocols, and automation tools, combined with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements For Senior Support Engineer, Smart Device, Platform QA

Linux
Python
  • Proficiency in Linux commands and ADB commands
  • Experience with Ubuntu OS and smart device protocols (USB, HDMI, networking, etc.)
  • Understanding of Android rooting and system operations
  • Ability to write efficient scripts in Python/C/C++
  • Skill in reading and analyzing software logs
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years working experience in a similar hands-on role
