Senior System Development Engineer, CoSS

The Compliance Shared Services (CoSS) organization at Amazon is seeking a Senior System Development Engineer to join their SPIDER (Streamlining Planning, Deployment and Post-Release) team. This role combines both operational and development responsibilities, with a 50-50 split between operational tasks and development work. The position involves working on critical service platforms, implementing large-scale systems, and providing technical leadership through mentorship and code reviews.

The ideal candidate will bring 5-8+ years of software development experience, with deep expertise in systems-level programming. You'll be working with various programming languages including Java, C++, Python, and Go, while dealing with distributed systems and scalable architectures. The role requires strong technical skills in software engineering, test-driven design, and operational infrastructure, along with the ability to build complex data pipelines and sophisticated rules engines.
