Senior System Development Engineer, Enterprise Networking

As a Senior Systems Development Engineer in the Backbone Enterprise and Regional Engineering (BERE) team at AWS, you'll be at the forefront of expanding solutions that support AWS's global network backbone. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, working within AWS Global Connectivity and Network Availability (GCNA) - the division responsible for connecting and securing AWS's worldwide network infrastructure.

You'll collaborate with network development engineers, software engineers, and senior scientists to extend software-defined networks (SDN). The position requires leading design reviews and aligning engineering efforts across multiple teams toward a cohesive technical strategy. You'll be responsible for scaling solutions to meet growing customer demands and ensuring the reliable operation of one of the world's largest networks.

The role sits within AWS Infrastructure Services, which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
