Software Dev Engineer II

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Dev Engineer II to join their team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role offers a hybrid work environment with partial telecommuting, requiring employees to report to the office multiple days per week.

As a Software Dev Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, testing, and documenting embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. You'll translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, and supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Your role will involve participating in the full development cycle, from design and implementation to testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.

Key responsibilities include producing comprehensive and usable software documentation, evaluating and making decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools, and mentoring junior development engineers. This position requires expertise in designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using languages such as C#, C++, Java, or Perl, along with strong skills in Object-Oriented Design.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, coupled with at least one year of relevant experience.
