Description For Software Dev Engineer II, Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX)

The Builder Tools organization within Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX) is seeking talented engineers for their Apollo team. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the software and systems that enable Amazon's vast developer community to build cutting-edge services. The Apollo team manages the technology behind fully-automated deployments and dynamic fleet scaling for some of the world's largest services. Their systems allow Amazon engineers to implement code changes and new features seamlessly, without service interruptions, through automated continuous deployment workflows.

As an SDE II on the team, you'll be working on systems that are used daily by tens of thousands of Amazon engineers, making a direct impact on how software is deployed across Amazon's infrastructure. The role involves working with deployment and application modeling experiences, managing customer environments, capacities, and packages, as well as handling Apollo-related permissions and deployment scheduling services.

The position offers the opportunity to work with advanced container and serverless infrastructure technologies at scale. You'll be part of a team that's central to Amazon's engineering operations, working on systems that control software on millions of servers for tens of thousands of applications.
