Software Dev Engineer II, AWS Tagging

As a Software Development Engineer II in the AWS Tagging team, you'll be part of the AWS Intelligent Operations organization. You'll contribute to one of a handful of customer-facing features that every AWS service is required to support. The scale is enormous, handling billions of transactions per day to authorize actions, filter resources for automations, and provide usage reports and auditing mechanisms across millions of customer resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture, design, and code ownership for long-term product strategy for AWS Authentication and Authorization services
• Development and operation of low-latency, high-availability Authentication and Authorization services
• Ownership and continuous improvement of all operational metrics and automation tools for your team's software
• Executing against project plans and delivery commitments
• Building, owning, and operating foundational AWS services in the critical path of billions of API requests per day
• Designing and building extremely scalable services capable of single-digit millisecond latency
• Releasing functionality used by every AWS service and their customers

You'll be working on solving problems at a scale that has never been tackled before, contributing to the resource property store that allows customers to authorize actions, organize resources, and provide usage and auditing reports across billions of resources.

You should have deep knowledge in web services, backend storage design, and distributed systems.
