Software Dev Engineer II, Relay Yard Automation

Amazon's Relay Yard Automation (RYA) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their organization of 30 individuals. The RYA team develops and maintains critical tier-1 products used in Amazon's complex logistics network, facilitating the movement of vehicles and trailers across thousands of facilities globally. Their software handles over 50M vehicle arrivals/departures and 30M trailer operations annually.

The role involves working on various products including Sesame app, GEM, Relay Gate, Valet app, and Yard Inventory Manager (YIM). These systems are crucial for managing gate operations, yard movements, and maintaining real-time visibility of trailer locations. As an SDE II, you'll be responsible for designing and developing scalable software solutions, writing robust code, performing code reviews, and maintaining high software quality standards.

You'll collaborate with product managers, TPMs, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and timely feature delivery. The role requires a data-driven approach to innovation and a strong focus on operational excellence.
