Project Kuiper is an ambitious initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide, helping to close the digital divide by serving consumers, businesses, and government agencies.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for owning the development, implementation, and testing of cloud services that manage the configuration of Kuiper hardware and software. You'll collaborate with engineering teams across ground and space systems to understand system functionality and deliver integrated solutions for mission preparation and execution. Given the massive scale of the mission, there's a strong focus on driving automation and operational excellence.
The role requires someone detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of working independently, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintaining professionalism under pressure. Deep knowledge of software engineering practices and understanding of hardware-software system interactions is essential. Experience with space systems is desired.
The team you'll join builds and maintains critical software services responsible for managing Kuiper satellites' configuration. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology while making a meaningful impact on global connectivity.
