Software Development Engineer, Ads Campaign Management

Amazon Advertising is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join their Ads Campaign Management team. This role is crucial in building and maintaining the systems that power Amazon's advertising platform, which processes billions in advertising spend annually.

The position involves working on large-scale distributed systems that handle hundreds of millions of API requests daily and process petabytes of data. You'll be responsible for building the next generation of advertising tools that help businesses of all sizes manage their advertising campaigns across Amazon's advertising portfolio. The role particularly focuses on serving small and medium-sized businesses, which make up 80% of Amazon's advertiser base.

As part of the team, you'll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies including ECS, Fargate, EC2, EMR, Lambda, Kafka, Elastic Search, DynamoDB, and more. You'll be tackling complex technical challenges involving concurrent workflows across distributed systems, big data problems, and performance optimization. The systems you build will need to operate 24/7/365 across more than 20 countries.

The role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that directly impact Amazon's advertising business. You'll be responsible for building redundant, highly available systems that ensure advertisers can effectively manage their campaigns and reach their target audiences.
