Software Development Engineer, AFT - External Fulfillment

The Amazon Fulfillment Technology (AFT) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their External Fulfillment initiative. AFT powers Amazon's physical operations, enabling the fulfillment of millions of items daily across the globe. This role focuses on making the AFT Warehouse Management System more accessible and flexible for emerging markets and businesses.

The position offers significant architectural challenges, including managing large volumes of constantly changing data across thousands of fulfillment centers, supporting diverse internal and external customers, and handling complex event processing. The team is building new products that need to scale to support tens of millions of daily business operations.

As an SDE, you'll be empowered to think big, invent solutions, and solve complex problems. You'll work with a large existing codebase while developing new components, maintaining production systems, and contributing to deployment processes. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires strong technical leadership to influence other engineers and tech partners.
