Software Development Engineer, Amazon Fulfillment Technology - Outbound Flow

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers that move millions of inventory units, employ thousands of people, and ensure timely customer delivery.

The team is building a new Flow Control architecture to enable automation of flow control from dock to dock (Inbound through Outbound). This architecture will provide standard interfaces for integrating new flow controllers, adapting to Amazon's evolving Fulfillment Center designs.

As a Software Development Engineer on the AFT Flow team, you will:

• Design and develop highly scalable and available systems in native AWS
• Work with new technologies
• Partner with product, science, and operations stakeholders
• Deliver critical new features and products
• Help drive strategic initiatives within the AFT Flow domain
• Be part of a team that pairs data science with innovative technologies
• Optimize throughput within Amazon fulfillment centers
• Ensure safe, sustainable, cost-effective, on-time package deliveries

The base pay ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 per year depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits as part of the total compensation package.
