Software Development Engineer, AWS Direct Connect

The AWS Direct Connect software engineering team builds solutions that make it easy for customers to establish dedicated network connections from their premises to the AWS cloud. These connections help reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections. AWS Direct Connect is currently available in more than 91 locations across 28 countries.

As a Software Development Engineer on the AWS Direct Connect team, you will:

• Design, implement, and operate features to quickly deliver solutions to customers
• Build large-scale distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective
• Work with engineering teams on data plane and control plane software, network design and implementation
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive and build innovative products
• Participate in on-call rotation to support team services
• Mentor teammates and help them develop technical skills
• Drive operational excellence and maintain high performance standards

The position offers a comprehensive compensation package including base pay ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and full benefits.
