Description For Software Development Engineer, AWS Global Accelerator

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The AWS Global Accelerator is a Software Defined Networking service which improves network performance for various products including AAA video games, video streaming platforms, VOIP, Education and technology platforms, and social media applications.

As a Software Development Engineer on the Global Accelerator team, you will:

  • Create new features for our globally distributed network offering running in 29 AWS Commercial regions
  • Engage with AWS customers and service owners
  • Design and develop features for highly impactful AWS services
  • Make critical design decisions affecting various AWS services
  • Learn to grow and operate a global business at AWS scale

The role involves working on distributed systems, writing clean code, and developing solutions that run critical internet workloads for AWS and its customers. You'll be part of the Control Plane team, managing customer-facing APIs and secure configuration synchronization worldwide.
